Placentia is located in Orange County, California. This city also included the community of Atwood that is located in the southern part. The city is known to be a nice place to live and family oriented. It’s one of those places that is kind of remote in a way so they call it a bedroom community. The neighborhoods are quite and it’s a safe place to live with little crime to speak of in this town. Placentia has a strong neighborhood council that takes part in making sure to be involved in water conservation, graffiti removal and public safety in a big way. The neighborhood council also hosts many fun events for the entire city to enjoy each year.

The Heritage festival has been happening in this area since the 60’s, it’s a yearly event with a parade, good food live music and of course dancing. A pancake breakfast starts the day and blends into the parade. There are things to do for adults and children all day long. There is a car show, crafts to browse and look at and buy. There are lots of games for the children and more

This city is quite kid friendly in general and there are many activities for small children and school age children. There are a wide array of classes and recreational businesses geared towards families and kids. Not to mention that Disneyland is nearby in Anaheim, CA.

Disney has been around for nearly 60 years. There are lots of fun facts to learn about this historic place. Disneyland features all the fun Disney characters, cute stores, fun food like cotton candy and frozen lemonade and lots of rides. There are many stories and even legends that have been told in these 60 years. There is a story behind Tom Sawyer’s island and all of the things at Disney have a tale to be told. In the beginning of Disneyland there was a lingerie shop and a tobacco shop. Can you even imagine that now?

Walt Disney was a very visionary man. He created the happiest place on earth in 1955 and it has been going strong ever since that year. Disney employees are supposed to smile all day and be ultra friendly. This is considered part of the training and part of the job. This is the happiest place on earth so look happy.

However for the Tower of Terror rides it is the opposite and employees are told not to smile to make the rides scarier. It creates the vibe to make it all more haunting for the riders.

Years ago Walt Disney has his own apartment right on Main street. Today you can take a private tour and see his old place.

The Haunted Mansion actually has some real remains of the deceased. Once a family decided to scatter the ash remains of their seven- year old, daughter while taking a ride on the haunted mansion. It wasn’t approved by Disneyland park however it did happen and some people even still try to do this. Don’t ask me why. I suppose it was their child’s favorite place or something along those lines.

The Pirates of the Caribbean ride also used real human bones at first. The only real bones that are still there are located on the headboard of the bed of the skeleton with a magnifying glass.

What Walk Disney created is truly a magical place for children and even some adults. Disneyland has people from all over the globe making this their destination vacation. You will see every walk of life here and people from various countries. It is very popular worldwide. Every child has dreams of visiting this place. Some adults even hold season passes. On the other hand it could be rare torture for the person who doesn’t like crowds and they may want to think twice or go on a less popular day. Either way this is a unique place, a one of a kind experience for the whole family.
